Will You Get a Photo When Flowers Are Delivered in Korea?

By Korea Flower ExpressPublished

Quick answer

Yes. Once the delivery is finished, Korea Flower Express sends the person who placed the order a photo of the flowers that were actually handed over. On the English order form the photo goes to the email address you entered, and if you want a photo of the gift where it was left, write that in the special requests box.

Key points

  • The photo shows the item that was really delivered, not the styled product picture on the website.
  • Orders from the foreign-language forms get the photo by email; orders from the Korean form get it by text message to the orderer's phone.
  • If you would like a photo of the gift at the delivery spot, write that in the special requests box when you order.
  • If nobody is there to receive it, the gift is left at the entrance of the address and an on-site photo is sent.
  • If the photo shows damaged flowers or a wrong delivery, tell us the day you get the photo and send the photo with your message. We will check and guide you.

Will I get a photo when my flowers are delivered in Korea?

Korea Flower Express sends the orderer a photo of the flowers that were actually delivered, once the delivery is finished. The pictures on the website are styled images. The photo you receive shows the real arrangement as it was handed over to your recipient.

There is no courier-style tracking number, because a florist near the recipient makes the arrangement and delivers it by hand. The photo and the order status are how you confirm that the delivery is done. The status steps are explained in How to Track Your Flower Order to Korea.

Where is the photo sent, and how do I ask for a photo at the delivery spot?

On the English, Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese order forms of Korea Flower Express, the email field is required, because the photo is emailed to the person who placed the order. On the Korean order form the photo goes by text message to the orderer's phone number. Either way the photo goes to you, not to the recipient, so enter your own contact details carefully.

  • Use an email address you check often. If the status says delivered and no photo has arrived, look in your spam folder too.
  • If you would like a photo of the gift at the delivery location, write that in the special requests box, for example: please also send a photo of the gift where it was placed.
  • Enter the recipient's name, mobile number and Korean address with building name and unit number. See How to Write a Korean Address for Flower Delivery for how to write it.
  • Set the delivery date and time in Korea time.

What happens if the recipient is not home?

If nobody is there to receive the gift, Korea Flower Express leaves it at the entrance of the delivery address and sends you an on-site photo of where it was left. That photo works as your confirmation of delivery. A wrong or unreachable phone number can delay delivery, so check the recipient's number twice before you pay.

Hospitals and postpartum care centers sometimes do not allow flowers inside, so check with the place before ordering. If you cannot reach them, tell us in chat and we will go through it with you.

What should I look at in the photo?

Flowers and plants are living goods. Depending on the season and what came in that day, some flowers can be replaced by another flower in the same color family, and wrapping, baskets and pots can be replaced by similar ones. The photo gives you something to compare with what you ordered.

What to checkWhat to look for
Flower types and colorsCheck that the color family matches your order. A different flower in the same color family is within what can change.
Wrapping, basket or potThese can be replaced by similar ones, depending on the materials that came in.
Card or ribbonIf it is visible in the photo, check the wording and the sender's name. If the wording matters, tell us in chat right after you order.
Where it standsCheck that it is at the entrance or lobby you had in mind. For an event stand, confirm that it is at the venue.

What can I do if the photo shows a problem?

If the photo shows a problem, please tell us the day you receive it and attach the photo. Korea Flower Express will check the situation and guide you. If an order was delivered to the wrong place, you can choose to have it made and sent again or to be refunded, under the terms of service. Cancelling before we start making the arrangement is refunded in full, but once making has started, cancellation and refunds are difficult.

You can reach us by live chat from anywhere in the world, by phone (+82-70-7919-3082 in Korea, +82-70-7919-3082 from abroad) or by email at koreaflowerexpress@gmail.com. Support hours are 08:00 to 21:00 Korea time.

How soon after delivery does the photo arrive?

We do not promise a specific time for the photo. It is sent after the delivery is finished, and the order status changes to delivered. An order placed before 6 PM Korea time usually goes out the same day, and when the area, the item or the time of day makes that difficult, we contact you to confirm. To see the cutoff in your own time zone, read Same-Day Flower Order Cutoff in Your Local Time.

If the status shows delivered and no photo has arrived, message us in chat.

What should I look at in the photo of a wreath?

A wreath is photographed where it stands, so check first that the ribbon wording and the sender's name can be read. Seen from the front, the right ribbon carries the ceremonial phrase and the left ribbon carries the sender. You can choose wreaths under Congratulatory Flower Stands for celebrations and Funeral Flower Stands for condolences, and funeral etiquette is covered in Sending Funeral Flowers to Korea From Abroad.
