Same-Day Flower Order Cutoff in Your Local Time
Quick answer
The Korea Flower Express same-day cutoff is 6 PM Korea time, which is 09:00 UTC. The delivery date and time on the order form are also in Korea time, so enter Korea's date, not the date on your own calendar.
Key points
- The cutoff of 6 PM Korea time is 09:00 UTC; add your city's UTC offset to get the cutoff on your own clock.
- The delivery date and time on the order form are always Korea time. If it is evening in the Americas, it may already be the next day in Korea.
- Korea has no daylight saving time. This winter the US returns to standard time on 1 November 2026 and the UK and Europe on 25 October, so the cutoff moves one hour earlier on your clock (for example, New York 05:00 becomes 04:00).
- If you miss the cutoff, choose the next Korean date, or ask in chat first if it is urgent.
What time is the same-day cutoff on my own clock?
At Korea Flower Express, an order placed before 6 PM Korea time usually arrives the same day. Korea is UTC+9, so that moment is 09:00 UTC, and you add your own city's UTC offset to find it on your clock. New York is 04:00 in winter (UTC-5) and 05:00 in summer (UTC-4), and London is 09:00 in winter and 10:00 in summer. A full city table is in Same-Day Flower Delivery in Korea: Cutoff by Time Zone.
This guide does not repeat that table. It covers the two things a table cannot settle by itself: which date to enter when your calendar and Korea's disagree, and which row to trust when clocks are changing.
Do I enter my date or Korea's date on the order form?
The delivery date and time on the Korea Flower Express order form are always Korea time (the English form labels the field "KST"). Because the 6 PM cutoff is 09:00 UTC, anywhere from Alaska to eastern Australia meets it on the same calendar date as the Korean delivery date. Honolulu (UTC-10) meets it at 23:00 the evening before. In the Americas, your evening is already the next day's midday in Korea, so enter the Korean date on which your recipient will receive the flowers.
The examples below are worked out with the clocks as they are in each place: winter standard time everywhere except Sydney, which is on daylight saving time.
| Where you are and when | Korea date and time | Before the Korean cutoff? |
|---|---|---|
| New York, Wednesday 22:00 (winter) | Thursday 12:00 | Yes. Enter Thursday. |
| Los Angeles, Thursday 19:00 (winter) | Friday 12:00 | Yes. Enter Friday; on your clock you have until 01:00 Friday. |
| Honolulu, Tuesday 22:00 | Wednesday 17:00 | Yes, by one hour. Enter Wednesday. |
| London, Friday 11:00 (winter) | Friday 20:00 | No, it has passed. Enter Saturday. |
| Sydney, Saturday 21:00 (daylight time) | Saturday 19:00 | No, by one hour. Enter Sunday. |
| Tokyo, Monday 17:30 | Monday 17:30 | Yes, but only 30 minutes remain. Tell us in chat as well. |
When do clocks change this winter, and which cutoff applies?
Korea is UTC+9 all year, so the cutoff itself never moves; what moves is the clock where you live. The 2026-27 dates are in the table below. Governments can change their schedules, so for an important order check your own country's announcement once. Japan, China and Vietnam do not change clocks, so the cutoff is the same time all year there. Brisbane and Perth do not change either.
| Region | Clock change dates (2026-27) | Gap with Korea |
|---|---|---|
| Australia East (Sydney, Melbourne) | Daylight time began 4 Oct 2026; ends 4 Apr 2027 | Sydney is 2 h ahead of Korea, then 1 h ahead after 4 Apr |
| United Kingdom (London) | Daylight time ended 25 Oct 2026; starts 28 Mar 2027 | London is 9 h behind Korea, then 8 h behind after 28 Mar |
| Central Europe (Berlin, Paris) | Daylight time ended 25 Oct 2026; starts 28 Mar 2027 | 8 h behind Korea, then 7 h behind after 28 Mar |
| US East (New York) | Daylight time ends 1 Nov 2026; starts 14 Mar 2027 | 14 h behind Korea, then 13 h behind after 14 Mar |
| US West (Los Angeles) | Daylight time ends 1 Nov 2026; starts 14 Mar 2027 | 17 h behind Korea, then 16 h behind after 14 Mar |
Why does the time difference look odd for a week in late October and late March?
Countries change their clocks on different days, so for a few weeks the usual gaps are off. From 25 to 31 October 2026 the UK and Europe are already on winter time while the US is still on daylight time, so New York and London are 4 hours apart instead of the usual 5. From 14 to 27 March 2027 it is the other way round, because only the US has moved its clocks forward.
In those weeks do not rely on a remembered gap. Take 09:00 UTC and add your city's offset as it is today. On the US East Coast that gives 05:00 before 1 November and 04:00 from 1 November. On the US West Coast it gives 02:00 before the change.
Does the cutoff change at year end or on holidays?
The Korea Flower Express same-day cutoff and opening hours are the same on every date, including Christmas and 1 January, and the same on Suneung day. Chat support runs from 08:00 to 21:00 Korea time. Orders from far-away time zones tend to bunch up at year end, so for a gift that must land on a particular day it is safer to order a day early.
What if I miss the cutoff in my local time?
You can still order after 6 PM Korea time; set the Korean delivery date to the next day. If it has to be today, tell us the area and the item in chat before you pay and we will check whether it is possible. Chat works from any country, 08:00 to 21:00 Korea time, and the phone numbers are +82-70-7919-3082 within Korea and +82-70-7919-3082 from abroad.
Act quickly if you want to change an order. Once we start making the arrangement, a change or cancellation may not be possible or may cost extra. Same-day arrival is never guaranteed.
What is the quickest way to check without doing the maths?
If the arithmetic is tiresome, add Seoul to the world clock on your phone and run through the steps below. It takes under a minute.
- Look up the current date and time in Seoul.
- If Seoul is before 6 PM, fill in the form with Seoul's date for today.
- If it has passed, enter Seoul's date for tomorrow.
- If the gift must arrive on a specific day, tell us in chat before you pay.
