How to Send Flowers to Busan From Abroad
Quick answer
To send flowers to Busan from abroad, choose an arrangement on the Korea Flower Express website, enter your recipient's Busan address and mobile number, and pay online. Order before 6 PM Korea time and most gifts are made by a florist near your recipient and hand-delivered the same day.
Key points
- You order online and a florist near your recipient makes the arrangement and delivers it in person.
- Busan Metropolitan City has 15 districts (gu) and 1 county (gun), 16 areas in all, and a Busan address starts with Busan.
- Haeundae is in Haeundae-gu, Seomyeon in Busanjin-gu, Gwangalli in Suyeong-gu and Nampo-dong in Jung-gu, so a neighborhood name is not always a district name.
- All of Korea shares one time zone, so Busan runs on the same Korea time as Seoul; orders before 6 PM usually arrive the same day.
- Baskets and bouquets start from about ₩45,000; flower stands to parts of Gangseo-gu and Gijang-gun in Busan can carry an extra fee of about ₩10,000.
How do I send flowers to someone in Busan from overseas?
To send flowers to Busan from overseas, choose an arrangement on the Korea Flower Express website, enter your recipient's Busan address and mobile number, and pay online. A florist near your recipient makes the arrangement with that day's flowers and delivers it by hand, so nothing is shipped across borders. Orders placed before 6 PM Korea time are usually delivered the same day.
This guide focuses on Busan's district names and how to write the address. The whole ordering process is in How to Send Flowers to Korea From Abroad, and a Seoul-specific guide is at How to Send Flowers to Seoul From Abroad.
What districts is Busan divided into?
Busan Metropolitan City is divided into 15 districts (gu) and 1 county (gun), 16 administrative areas in total. The only county is Gijang-gun on the eastern edge; the rest are all districts. A Busan address reads like Busan, ○○-gu, ○○-ro 123: the district comes before the road name and building number. If the address you were given has no district or county name, check it with your recipient first.
| Type | Areas |
|---|---|
| Districts (15) | Jung-gu, Seo-gu, Dong-gu, Yeongdo-gu, Busanjin-gu, Dongnae-gu, Nam-gu, Buk-gu, Haeundae-gu, Saha-gu, Geumjeong-gu, Gangseo-gu, Yeonje-gu, Suyeong-gu, Sasang-gu |
| County (1) | Gijang-gun |
What should I watch for when writing a Busan address?
Always start a Busan address with Busan (부산광역시 in Korean). Seoul is a special city, while Busan is a metropolitan city, so the opening word differs. Jung-gu, Dong-gu, Seo-gu, Nam-gu and Buk-gu also exist in Daegu and other metropolitan cities, and Gangseo-gu exists in Seoul too, so a district name alone can point to the wrong city.
Gimhae and Yangsan, which border Busan, are in South Gyeongsang Province, not in Busan. Conversely, Gimhae International Airport is not in Gimhae at all but in Busan's Gangseo-gu, west of the Nakdong River. If your recipient only says they live near Busan, confirm the exact city and province. For the detail line and how to write it for different places, see How to Write a Korean Address for Flower Delivery.
Which district are Haeundae, Seomyeon and Gwangalli in?
Haeundae and Centum City are in Haeundae-gu, Seomyeon is in Busanjin-gu, Gwangalli is in Suyeong-gu and Nampo-dong is in Jung-gu, so in Busan a neighborhood name often differs from the district name. If your recipient only tells you they live near Seomyeon, ask for the road address, because the order form needs the district and road name. The table below is only a location guide.
| Familiar place name | District or county |
|---|---|
| Haeundae, Centum City | Haeundae-gu |
| Seomyeon | Busanjin-gu |
| Gwangalli | Suyeong-gu |
| Nampo-dong, Jagalchi | Jung-gu |
| Busan Station | Dong-gu |
| Dongnae | Dongnae-gu |
| Sasang | Sasang-gu |
| Dadaepo | Saha-gu |
| Yeongdo | Yeongdo-gu |
| Gijang | Gijang-gun |
What is the order cut-off for flowers going to Busan?
Korea has a single time zone, nine hours ahead of UTC, so Busan runs on the same Korea time as Seoul. The Korea Flower Express cut-off follows Korea time, not yours: order before 6 PM Korea time and most Busan addresses receive the flowers the same day. Korea has no daylight saving time, so that same cut-off falls at 18:00 in Tokyo, 17:00 in Beijing, Shanghai and Singapore, and 16:00 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The cut-off and opening hours are the same every day of the year, including Christmas and New Year's Day. Our team is available from 08:00 to 21:00 Korea time, and after the cut-off you can still order for the next day or later. For places with daylight saving time, such as the US and Europe, see the table in Same-Day Flower Delivery in Korea: Cutoff by Time Zone.
How much does it cost to send flowers to Busan?
At Korea Flower Express, flower baskets start from about ₩45,000, bouquets (excluding corsages) from about ₩45,000, and congratulatory and funeral flower stands range from about ₩49,000 to ₩199,000 (Korean won, checked in October 2026). A larger size or an added gift raises the total, and the final amount is shown on the payment screen before you pay.
An extra regional delivery fee applies to flower stands only. In Busan, parts of Gangseo-gu and Gijang-gun are on the list and can carry about ₩10,000 more; baskets and bouquets carry no such fee. Whether it applies in Gangseo-gu or Gijang-gun depends on the exact address, so if your stand is going there, send us the address in chat and we will check. For a full price breakdown, see How Much Does It Cost to Send Flowers to Korea?.
How do I pay from abroad?
On the Korea Flower Express order forms in English, Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese you can pay in Korean won by international card (the default) or by PayPal in US dollars at the day's rate plus a 5% fee; the Korean form offers virtual account, credit card, manual card entry, KakaoPay and Naver Pay. The differences between them, and what to do if a payment fails, are covered in PayPal or Foreign Card for Flowers to Korea?.
How is a Busan order handled, and how do I know it arrived?
A Busan order is handled the same way as anywhere in Korea: a florist near your recipient makes the arrangement and delivers it by hand. When delivery is complete, we send you a photo of the arrangement your recipient received. If nobody is there, the flowers are left at the entrance and we send a photo taken on site. For reference, the Korea Flower Express business address is 4F #423, 160 World Cup-daero, Yeonje-gu, Busan.
Card messages can be printed in other languages, so you can write yours in English. If your recipient reads Korean, adding one line in Korean is a warm touch. Please enter your recipient's mobile number correctly.
Where do I choose flowers for Busan?
Browse Flower Baskets, Bouquets or Congratulatory Flower Stands depending on the occasion: baskets suit birthdays, thanks and get-well wishes, bouquets suit anniversaries, proposals and graduations, and flower stands suit openings, weddings and events. A cake or chocolates can go with the flowers on the same-day delivery. If you are unsure which arrangement fits or how to write the address, ask us in live chat; it is available from any country.
